Song of Songs 23: My Soul Like a Chariot

In this season of her journey the bride is drawn after her beloved into the valley.  It is there that she sees the budding virtues of those young in faith and the promise of a future harvest of fruit.  In the midst of this place of ministering in the "valley" her soul becomes enraptured with delight as she describes herself as being carried along in a royal chariot.   Loving and caring for people in the valley is what the bride is called to do as she reflects the compassion of her beloved.   May we follow her example!

Song of Songs 22: The Favorite One

One of the main focuses of the Song of Songs is to awaken desire for more of God.   Revelation of the desire that God has for us births desire for Him in return.  In this part of the Song the Bridegroom speaks of the bride as being the "only one" and the "favorite one".   Yeshua has tremendous desire for each one of us! The way that He loves each individual member of the Body is as if they were His favorite one.   You are uniquely loved by God for the simple reason that there is only one "you" in the world and you reflect a special facet of His heart.   Listen in as we unpack this amazing truth!

Song of Songs 21: Your Eyes have Overcome Me!

The bride has been faithful even through the valley of testing.  She remained in love, choosing to believe that the banner of love had never ceased to wave over her life.  The Bridegroom now, with an unparalleled degree of passion speaks praise over the bride.  She has overcome Him with her devoted love!  Her dove eyes have so overwhelmed Him that he says "turn your eyes away for they have overcome me"!   The emotions of God toward us have the power to transform our hearts.  May you be blessed to know the desire of His heart for you!

Song of Songs 20: Unstoppable Praise

Continuing her praise of the Bridegroom, the Bride's voice resonates with passion and undeterred allegiance to her beloved.   This praise, in the midst of suffering, has echoed down through history as multitudes have declared the worthiness of the Lamb.  Whether it be Paul and Silas singing while chained up for the gospel or a group of believers gathering underground to worship, the praise of the Bridegroom is unstoppable.   No matter where you are, may the praise of God become your anthem and the love of God the fire that burns in your heart.  May your confession be the same as the bride: "He is altogether lovely!" 

Song of Songs 19: Chief Among Ten Thousand

In response to the daughters of Jerusalem, the bride overflows with her greatest song of praise.   Her bold praise is a powerful weapon in the battle for faith and resolve in the midst of the fire of testing.  Within each description of the glorious Bridegroom is a truth that empowers us to hold fast till the end.  May we all become intimately familiar with these qualities that make the Bridegroom "altogether lovely".  Be encouraged to praise Him with your whole heart!

 

Song of Songs 18: Without Offense and In Love

In this podcast we look at the way the bride handles unjust treatment.  In this part of the story she undergoes the test of enduring wounds that are inflicted not because of disobedience but rather because of her obedience.   Through it all she remains lovesick, desperately longing to be reunited with her beloved.  Her example of standing in the midst of crisis with an unoffended heart is one to be emulated and admired.  

 

 

 

Song of Songs 17: In the Garden

Reminiscent of the Garden of Eden, this fellowship of the Bride and Bridegroom in the garden is greatly delighted in. The voice of the bride and the bridegroom are spoken of often in the Bible.  The presence of these voices of joy are a sign of blessing while their absence is a sign of God's judgement.  Here in chapter five we hear "the voice of my beloved He knocks".  The voice of the Bridegroom is calling out today and blessed are all those who hear Him!   As we hear His voice we are able to "follow the Lamb wherever He goes" even if that means following Him into the unknown. Song of Songs 16: Winds That Awaken Worship

Continuing His praise of the bride, the bridegroom speaks glowingly of her virtuous life.  In this podcast we unpack some of the poetic phrases that are found in this section of the song like "garden enclosed", "fountain of gardens" and the meaning of the brides beckoning of the north and south winds.  Our prayer is that the Spirit will blow upon your heart and that these truths will encourage your delight in the Lord!  

Song of Songs 15: The Power of a Willing Heart

In this part of the song the bride says "I will go".  Her willingness to go inspires the Bridegroom to call her a bride for the first time in the Song.  The Hebrew words translated "I will go" have a powerful connection all the way back to when God called Abraham "to go".    The ravished heart of God is expressed without reservation in this chapter.  Be encouraged to know more of the deep love Yeshua has for you as you listen to this podcast.  You are made spotless by His blood!

Song of Songs 14:Teeth Like Shorn Sheep?

Breaking the silence, the bridegroom speaks lavish praise over the bride in this chapter.   The last time he spoke directly to her was in chapter two when he called her to rise up and go with him over the mountains.    Initially she would not follow him but eventually her longing to be with the one she loves compels her to leave the comfort zone behind and respond in obedience.   This sacrificial obedience awes the bridegroom.   He is overcome by her devotion.   

Learn the significance of hair like goats coming down a mountain, teeth like shorn sheep, a neck like a tower and other unconventional romantic metaphors.   Be inspired by the depth of God's love for you!
